Why are writers bad speakers and vice versa?

I’m better at writing than speaking. I also notice that people who speak well do not write very well; at least I have come across many of them.

Different ways of expressing yourself. But theres people that can do both. Stephen Colbert is a great speaker, and his book isnt that bad neither. And Hitler spoke well enough to win over most of Germany, and his autobiography “Mein Kampf” is pretty well written.

The person someone whos had years of practice writing may not have trained themselves to write the skill likewise someone whos pro speaker may have the person someone whos pro speaker may have the good news is that theyre both learnable skills so if youre lacking you can.
